Almost everything we know about Louisiana I tried to fit into this unique design. I would have had to double the size to get it all. Most all of these can be seen while driving along I-10 and I-49, the 2 Interstates that connect most our city's and culture. You can now own one of these original hand crafted crosscut saws.

Cut from 1/8 inch steel with hardwood handles

Measures approx 48 inches wide by 12 inches tall

Pictured in a mixed copper, bronze and fire plated finish and clear coated to protect it.
You can also get it painted if you plan on hanging it outside or in raw steel if you want to finish it yourself or let it rust to get a more rustic look.

Here in Acadian South Louisiana the term is found in much Cajun music and lore. A passe-partout is a large two-manned tree saw designed to saw an entire large tree such as a Louisiana Bald Cypress. The term used here literally means to pass or cut through the whole thing or trunk. During the settlement of Louisiana in the 18th and 19th centuries, Native Cypress was the building material of choice, and a passe-partout was a common implement of the rural Cajun culture
